New site? Maybe some day.
Hhhmmm. Seems unlikely. Though early humans have probably done more than thought. i doubt it was anything worth considering civilization. Or maybe it was the aliens who created man kind, maaaaan wooooaaahhhh
I'm sure a certian rttp user will have something to say about this. |
yea man, I can't stand that fag. |
I'm just luring Conservationist, that's all. |
Because some pseudos are queeah.... |
There was a thread on ATS yesterday saying there's Martian ruins that match these. Hahaha |
This is an excellent article. |
I hope you're being sarcastic. |
It's excellent cause it shows that martins is wrong. |
this shows that for 200,000 years humans have been farming and such. That means that they have been not eating as much meat and that we are vegetarians. Also, by some of the long distances, it's obvious that they used to run 50-100 almost daily. |
Maybe if any of it's actually true. And just because one culture started farming food doesn't mean it was good for them. Let's say that that was enough time for them to adapt to the diet. Doesn't mean the entirety of the species did. We're animals, Rev. Don't forget that.
Also, I don't know about you but I feel great every day. So much energy and I'm never hungry between meals. If you feel great doing what you do, keep doing it. |
Ditto. Except I don't sleep enough, I hang around dirty people, and I don't swim enough. Because of that, I've been sick too much lately. When I was going to the gym more and swimming a mile 3 times a week, I wasn't sick for a year and a half. I need to get back to that. |
Congratulations.
I still think I'm right. |
if I'm not, I'll recant on my deathbed. |
You guys have it all wrong. I haven't had an exercise regimen in almost two years, gained 60 pounds, drink beer almost every night, and only have been really sick once in 15 years. I wasn't absent at all in jr high or highschool- somewhat laughable.
Get a better immune system or gtfo. |
I would say it's all the semen, but composted's semen didn't help martins. oh well. |
if I'm not, I'll recant on my deathbed. |
I'm so right, I won't even have a deathbed. |
GOD PUT IT THERE TO TEST YOUR FAITH PPPPPPFFFTTTT! |
right or wrong about whether or not people originally ate meat? There are carbon dates texas longhorn skulls with arrow points in them. There wasn't much else to eat in the ice age besides animals... maybe i'm missing the point. |
Domestication of animals predates most forms of agriculture. It really depends on what area of the world you're talking about.
Humans were foragers and hunters first and foremost. Within temperate climates people began to develop ways of farming - most Mediterranean cultures had primitive forms of agriculture before most. It depends on the proximity and location of the settlement, the soil, and whether or not it was close to water.
Animals were domesticated roughly around the time of the last ice age.
People have been eating both meat and veggies since the beginning. Any other argument is silly an invalid. Granted our primitive ancestors ate plants to begin with, but when tools started appearing, we ate meat (spears).
This was all 4000 tears ago because of God.
Wait what is the argument again? |
4000 tears? Is that some homo metaphor? |
Years*
dunno the whole thing was my ass talking anyways. |
all you have to do is look at human teeth. that is all the proof you need that we are omnivores. |
If we are actually the highest animal on the food chain, then evolution would have made us so we can sustain ourselves on any type of food source, whether it be plant or animal. This is necessary. Life feeds on life. |

DAMN YOU! LET THE RABBITS WEAR GLASSES! |

DAMN YOU! LET THE RABBITS WEAR GLASSES! |
To you it is the harvest day, to them.... The HOLOCAUST!! |

http://news.discovery.com/animals/earliest-bull-beef-fossil.html
Although there is no evidence that early humans were actually herding early cattle 2.5 million years ago, the early humans and early cattle certainly shared the same landscape and beef was definitely on the menu all along, say researchers.
The telltale fossil is a skull with enormous horns that belongs to the cattle genus Bos. It has been reassembled from over a hundred shards found at a dig that also contains early human remains, said paleontologist Bienvenido Martinez-Navarro of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili in Tarragona, Spain. Martinez is the lead author of a paper reporting the discovery in the February issue of the journal Quaternary International.
"This means that the humans have been eating Bos since the beginnings of the genus Homo," said Martinez, referring to the genus to which humans belong.

STFU |
Wait, what is the argument here? Veggies before meat? Homo or pre-homo? Or both, cause we're all homos? |
meat since the beginning
or does this go in the other thread? haha |
I'm confused. Rev thinks we were meant for veggies? The only valid argument would be the real primitive ancestors. But then again that was 4000 years ago. |
any and all food was fair game since we started walking. cooking gave us necessary caloric/nutrient intake to travel long distances, socially hunt and make bigger brains over time.
groups of chimps and apes have always cannibalized each other if that means anything. often when they fight over territory they cannibalize their dead enemies for no ostensible reason even when there's other ample food around.
MEAT 4 LYFE |
Chimps, yes. Bonobos, nope. They don't cannibalize. They're currently studying the bonobos (formerly "Pygmy chimps") to to see if it can assist in understandiing human emotional heritage. I agree, though. Meats been being consumed for a very long time - modern forms of domestiction (chickens, pigs, etc) not as long but equally important to the evolation of the human diet. |
Rev needs to play age of empires 1 or gtfo |
i would hang out with this guy.
he wants to eat your brain. |
I don't know if people think my argument is that humans are obligate carnivores but that wasn't my argument. I was arguing AGAINST omnivorism. There is no way humans were meant to eat solely vegetables. Especially the crap most vegetarians eat today - namely beans and grains. Legumes (soy beans, all beans, peanuts) and grass seeds (barley, wheat, all grains) are full of antinutrients (called phylates and lectins) that prevent the absorption of any of the nutrients the plants may have had. Nevermind the fact that the majority of the nutrients plants have to offer are fat soluble, something you're not getting much of on a vegetarian diet.
Anyway, I definitely agree humans are meant to be omnivorous but I also think they can thrive on a carnivorous diet. Including all the offal, humans can get every essential nutrient from an animal. I've been eating only meat lately but that's because I have no veggies right now. I love me some brussel sprouts and cauliflower and broccoli. |
Depends, sweetbreads are delicious. I have a lamb heart I'm going to put in a stew. Brains apparently are very subtle tasting. Small intestine is delicious grilled. Liver tastes horrible if it's overcooked. |
Oh ya, I like spinach too but it sucks that you buy a whole bunch, sautee it in a pan and then it turns into very little. |
Tell your parents you want a full acre this summer to grow shit and you want to buy a cow to feed it grass. |
Oh look there's aril going on again about how he thinks I'm a rich white kid. Isn't it endearing? We've know each other for so long that we know everything about one another! |
So you live on your own? Then tell your land lord you want an acre to grow stuff and a cow to eat grass. |
He would tell me to get my GPA up first. |
Socially frustrated Martins is socially frustrated. |
Just make fun of me for my "diet" again. It worked better for you. |
???? Jesus dude, I'm not making fun. |
He would tell me to get my GPA up first. |
Ain't horrible advice. Wish I had. But then I might not have become the J.O. trucker I live to be. Flash your lights at the last parking space on the right. |
I just wish you loved me like you used to love me Aril. |
Is there some sort of connection between grass-fed meat and passive aggressiveness? |
lol
Well they do say that a passive cow tastes better. Farmer Dave from the place I got my steaks from says he likes a calm cow. |
Wait, am I gay now? Fuck. |
Yea, you're pretty queer. |
How do you like my cosplay?
