I'll make this as quick as I can since this seems super nerdy, haha. I've had the same TV since I was like 8 years old and it finally farted out. I have an original XBox (not a big gamer but it's there to fuck around whenever) and I replaced my TV with an HDTV and reconnected my XBox numerous different ways (according to the manual and the original way etc etc) and all my games now lag. Like controls don't match up to the screen making everything unplayable. Told a friend and he thought there might be a setting in the game to fix it and I have yet to see anything such. Any ideas how to fix this or is this just not fixable.

Sorry for the faggy question as well and thanks in advance for the help!

Its the same effect with all your games? My guess would be its a problem with the Box itself and not your new TV.

Even though it was 100% fine and the day I got the TV it stopped working normally? I was using it the same day and when I reconnected it the problem started? I'm sure weirder thing have happened but it seems strange.

Does it lag with all the controls? The analog sticks too?

Yeah it seems that way.

either the TV has a seriously slow refresh rate, or you need to get component cables for your xbox, or both.

well you say your tv stopped working. could it have died from a power surge that fried the xbox too?

Just buy an xbox 360 arcade, you can find it on eBay for $150

I appreciate all the help guys, for real. I do have to say though (to dertoxia) I do know the TV has been going for quite a while and finally really died so while it's definitely a possibility I tend to doubt it. I'll have to call some nerds and try and fix this - it will be quite disappointing if it's fried cause I don't have a huge interest in buying a new console.
