for anyone not familiar, the amber room is like the place where guidos, under 21s, and all sorts of undesirables go to dance and pretend they are part of the bar scene.
After doing a bit of homework, I'm wondering if this is even the same Raven. And I don't mean without Wacko, I mean there's like another band called Raven. If you go to In Harm's Way 's facebook page, it has a more details button to click. It brings you to info about some band called Raven, who is very obviously not the band from England. Anybody have any idea what's up?
last week, there was a doubtful tone on if this show was still on. I'm hoping that it is cause I will be there shooting.

I emailed the neconcerts email above - hopefully that will bring some answers. Raven was the first band I ever saw way back in 1986, and I'm really looking forward to catching up. Don't wanna go to Providence - I live in Lowell.
I really hope that is true. I'd much rather go to NH than RI. Wooooo

So they're playing at Rocko's and not the Amber Room, according to the ravenlunatics link above? That wouldn't seem correct, with all of the advertising for the Amber Room gig. Are they playing both venues in one day? That's feasible.
My guess is that they are trying to get the most bang for their buck.. Run the metal show during the day, clean up and get ready for the ultra sessy dance night. Considering the fact that it's on a Saturday it makes perfect sense.
Jesus F'ing Christ, How unbelievably bad, or just nonexistent, can promotion for a show be if people who are interested can't even find out where and when it is??

NEC doesn't promote shit. You play their shows, you sell their tickets, you do the promotion yourself.
Exactly, then when a show fails, it's the local bands' fault and not the promoter. What an excellent business model, I wish nothing was my fault at work.
Do they seriously think there will be a turn out at fucking Noon?

Another very non-specific link... Hell, that one shows a flyer for a different show. I'll be there - based on the kick-ass flyers for the show I'm seeing, it must be all set to go. In Harm's Way is one of the opening bands - maybe they could advertise or something.
Cancellled. Someone mark it cancelled on the events page.
done and done. i love being bored.

Oh boy what a big fucking surprise. Didn't see that coming. I would like to thank everybody that didn't communicate or promote - nice job. Oh well - now I can go food shopping.
