i just want to say...i think people should stop fighting and bitching with each other

a while ago someone starting talking shit about me on here....why? because they were pissed off by something someone else said and figured i knew that person and then they lashed out on me on this message board

i later received an apology via email but it still sucks that all this happened

i know i've said it before...but why start shit on here?

can't we all just get along?

this message board seems to have a close knit community .. which is one of the things that makes it so awesome...

last year when i had a surprise show for aaron's birthday, people showed up with their rttp name tags and it was a lot of fun...of course, the community was no where as large as it is today...so many more people are on here now and if only all the bickering and fighting would stop

Aaron, we have a common enemy in WBCN. Lets brainstorm some solutions.

inevitably there will always be bickering. It all boils down to the fact that everyone views a message board differently. For some its "just the internet" and like to stick with the "they are just words on a screen from some loaf sitting in his basement" while others meet the people in person, hang out, and relationships form. For these people they tend to see a message board as more than "Just words on the net" and thus the fights. When you feel you hold no responsibility to what you say its easy to say "everyone fucking sucks, your band sucks, you suck, etc"


essentially i think a few things could be helpful around here... perhaps making it known with emoticons when u are joking, possibly letting people know ahead of time that your posts are not "work friendly", etc.

my dad forced me to listen to that station as a kid (70's rock) and then as a young adult, when they switched to all-turn-a-shit he forced me to listen to that crap... I definitely hate that station.

I don't really take the drama seriously, and neither should you. I don't think people should get offended by words over the internet. There will always be drama though. Especially on message boards. I stopped posting at the defy unlearn board because I couldn't handle how uptight everyone was there. At least here it's more laid back and I'm cool with a lot more people via internet, and in person. There was a long period of time that Joe and I would be arguing back and forth, and I look back and think how retarded it was and laugh.

All I can say is that I've learned to tolerate more people more here than anywhere else.

and lynne is right. there will always be shit talking. I think people should let the shit talk roll off them and just help everyone out.

Here is the problem with WBCN as far as I am concerned:
Shred now books the middle east and obriens and he is obviously not into metal too much, and will definately limit how much metal comes through both those clubs.

Deek is starting to book metalcore, so Shred may fill his metal quota with shows that Deek books, which will be pure garbage.

im better than everyone..........its just letters on a screen and they are only as important and dramatic as the person reading them makes them out to be. if anyone types something someone does not like or agree with go read something else. censorship is just as lame as arguing.

With a name like Shred he should be primarily booking metal, no?
