I have a Timbuk 2 bag. Messenger style kind of thing.

That is a serious bag there... I meant to type more earlier, but got distracted.
Looked up those bags and they are real serious. I love them.

Anyhow, I got this bag:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005HEV56...ui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
my current "monday night" bag had the strap break. I sewed it back together and all, but I've been wanting a little bit better of a bag for a while now. This is only on mondays, but I have to carry
1) 15.6" laptop
2) iPad
3) Surface Pro 2
4) X1 traktor controller
5) 2x3.5" hd
6) 2x2.5" hd

Plus, all my cables, adapters, sometimes cdroms, etc...

amazon has free returns.. so if I don't like it, I will send it back. The only one I was thinking about instead was
http://www.amazon.com/Timbuk2-Commute-Messenger-Black-Small/dp/B006ZZ2VYM
the medium sized brown

oh and my tampons. lots and lots of tampons

I used one for awhile when I was an actual bike messenger. The strap design totally sucks if you're gonna ride with a lot of stuff in it, like it's built to be a regular shoulder bag or something. I switched to Bailey Works years ago and never looked back.

The "messenger bag" you posted looks like it'll have the same problem. See how the straps come straight out of the corners instead of being angled like this?

That said, if you're not planning on actually biking with this thing I have no useful input!

The zipper broke awhile ago on my current "tackle system". There's a chance I might get one of those Wild River on the cuff since they advertise with an online fishing magazine that I do some part time sales/promotions for. I really hope the deal works out -- those bags are sweet.

@snowden: not much in the way of biking. I was going to go bailey's... But there aren't as many pockets/holders. Bailey works is build right next to my house.

Maybe I should stop by their shop. I'm getting the timbuk2 tomorrow. I will compare it to a baileywork bag.

Good bags are good. I think they will repair my satchel for free.. Hm.

Yeah, I don't think Bailey Works does as many laptop-/whatever-oriented specialty bags. Honestly, if biking and carrying heavy loads for long periods aren't a big deal, Timbuk2 might be totally fine.

damn, they moved from beside my house anyhow.

hm.. this is what always keeps me out of bailey works,

Yeah, I commented on that bag already.
